BioZone In-Duct HVAC System Installation

The cost will vary depending on the method of wiring installation. We have 3 different wiring options for installing the inducts. All three options require drilling a 1 5/16" hole (Induct 1500/2500) or a 1 3/4" hole (Induct 5000/10000) in the main air supply or return duct close to the air handler and cooling coils if possible. Inducts can be attached to duct using duct tape or sheet metal screws.

Installation Options

1) Recommended: Install Induct unit in duct and plug directly into standard 120VAC outlet or plug into a surge protector or standard extension cord (I recommend using a surge protector for most electrical devices in your home). The UV lamp is always "ON" and we recommend running the fan all the time even when not utilizing your heating or air conditioning. This will provide continuous purification & circulation to the homeowner's house and duct systems. Running just the fan continuously does not use much electricity and can make a big difference in your indoor air quality. Also, you always have a little circulation through your duct systems and house at all times. Many do-it-yourself homeowners can install the inducts themselves using this option, and the units are easy to unplug if desired. SEE DIAGRAM OF THIS OPTION

2) Install induct unit in duct and wire into the 120VAC source on the fan circuit. The UV lamp is always "ON" and the same recommendations as Option 1 above. PERFORMED BY LICENSED ELECTRICIAN OR HVAC TECHNICIAN. SEE DIAGRAM OF THIS OPTION

3) Install Induct unit in duct and wire into the fan circuit using a standard 24Volt - 4 Pin Relay or a Current Sensing Relay. The UV lamp only comes "ON" when your fan, heating, or air conditioning is on. With this method, we would also recommend running your fan continuously. PERFORMED BY LICENSED ELECTRICIAN OR HVAC TECHNICIAN and they will have to provide the relay. SEE DIAGRAM OF THIS OPTION
